Red Hook Sightseeing Day Trip
A short stroll on the sidewalk path and you will reach the wonderful Waterfront Museum and Barge. Come aboard the “floating classroom and showboat barge,” the last covered wooden barge of its kind.
Three miles from the Brooklyn Bridge and five minutes from the BQE highway, the Waterfront Museum is located in a tranquil waterfront garden and boardwalk. Before your leave, be sure to visit the Brooklyn Waterfront Arts Coalition (BWAC), directly on the other side of Fairway. BWAC is the largest artist run, not for profit arts organization in Brooklyn. The exhibition space is located at 499 Van Brunt Street.
